Smiling Boosts the Immune System

My Tai Chi teacher always reminds the class to have an inner smile. “Smiling boosts the immune system.”, she always says. And according to research, it actually does. When you smile, you produce white blood cells to help fight illnesses.

One of my classmates is always wearing a pleasant one, and every time I look at him it reminds me to do the same. Smiling’s also contagious.
